That's where I'm worries as mine is a 210 amk block? Mine are the push down coil packs and not the bolt down ones? Mines one of the last 210's I think?

I've got an '01 AUQ and they plugged straight in buddy. Just have to use the bolt down spacer part that everyone uses that's all :)

Silver lining Tom and all that. At least you'll have the TFSI coil packs now, and you'll hopefully be enjoying some smooth idling... over the summer months stuck in traffic :)

Started the car up and let it idle for a while, seems nice and smooth, the old ones must have been on there way out as the car didn't idle as nice as this before the coilpacks went. Not sure if it's ever felt as good tbh!

I took it for a quick run on my test roads  and it pulls very smoothly now in all gears. Planting it in first was the nicest surprise I think, very crisp indeed and no hesitation at all. I wouldn't say the car is faster for these coilpacks but just much nicer to drive and gets you on the move quicker with much more response in the pedal. Happy she's running sweet again :)

I noticed the same thing, no performance increase but seems smoother especially on idle
I never got to join the blown coil club in the 5 years i had the original coils in

Yeah agree with that, felt good! Should be even better once the plugs are done.

Maybe yours was ok because it wasn't mapped? I don't know how old my coils were when I got the car 3 years ago but only one died.

Good to hear that all is healthy again Tom! I was very pleased with mine, especially with the fact that its a 10 year old engine and doesnt feel like it at all. Money well spent :)

Been a bit quiet on the buying front for the car for a couple of weeks, mainly because I haven't used it for that time.. It's been in the garage while we had a new drive done.

Just some pics I thought I'd share, the old one was crazy paving which had cracked in places and looked a right old mess.

We used the same company D.K did and it turned out really well, so thanks to him for the recommendation. Car finally came back out of a two week hibernation last night and rolled onto the new drive. Really pleased with the end result. This drive needed doing a long time ago.

Dug up on day one of the work.

First day of it being laid down

Sealed up

She's back :D

Need to paint the garage door next and alleyway door also to compliment it and the front of the house in general.

I was dying to drive the car again and went for a good drive last night to my sisters place and back and the car reminded me why I love it, felt really good! Still loving boost.. I'll be treating her to a wash this weekend as she's a bit dusty.

Roll on the next update in a month or so, back on the car related front :)

I gave the car it's first clean on the new drive this afternoon. I'm going to miss these wheels in some ways, but I've been working towards a 'look' with the car and I think once it's done I'll soon move on. Lol.

I was out driving the car this morning and was giving it some stick, under quite hard braking I got some judders through the wheel, it didn't feel very smooth or progressive at all. The rear discs/pads are pretty shot and I want to get the brake fluid done again, so might get it over to AmD next weekend and sorted out. By the end of May the car should be as I want it with a new look.

Driveway looks ace mate. Agree with you and the standard wheels, they are hard to replace but i think the speedlines will finish your motor off nicely :D
