Tail gate lights not working

Hello all
Can anyone help please
Both the reversing and the tail light on the left hand side of the tailgate have stopped working and a warning light on the dash has come on. Right hand side ok.
Have tried changing the bulbs still the same, also checked fuses all test ok, so a friend has tested to see if there is power to the unit and there is no power to the light unit but there is continuity in the wires from where they enter the tail gate up to the unit.
Any ideas?

You may need to replace the light bulb housing/board one would assume if power isn't getting to the bulbs just for one side.

It's been a while since I opened up the rear light fixings, could you try the working side housing in the non working side to see if that is the case?

Or just go to a scrappy and grab another housing to see if that fixes it?

Thank you for the reply, tried what you suggested and it does appear to be a faulty holder
Cheers

Great stuff, not too expensive.

You could get an official part from listers who do a discount for forum members you may need a few more posts to get in there though.

Ebay should have them I'm sure.

I’ve also got this problem, my leon’s tail light stops working a couple days after fitting a new bulb. I was told by my local garage to go to seat to get a new circuit board fitted.
Is it worth checking the fuse? Not sure if this could be the cause since new bulbs do work for a short while
