TDi mpg question.

TDi with 102k miles,slight stuttering on light throttle till warmed,heavy throttle its fine,think this is EGR valve. Filled to the brim,done 156 miles mostly running around,not a long run as such. Does this seem about right,and if not ,would a egr fault cause high consumption.

It can contribute to poor fuel economy because it causes rough idling and cause the fuel to burn too rich.

yeah symptoms sound like the EGR, give it a clean up and see how you go.
