Hi, i feel for ya, mine went pop about 3 weeks ago. I bought a new item(hybrid from Turbodynamics), as i was not sure about various recon units i looked at. However when i rang my local dealer they quoted me £800 odd quid for a reconditioned unit, and said thats all they ever use and had no probs with them! A brand new one from them was over £1300!!
Its a difficult one. Be sure to check as far down as the inter cooler, and in the MAF for bits of debris before putting the new one on though! As a matter of interest what year and milage is yours? Mine is only a 05 and just turned 60k miles!

Hi, yes i was advised to check for debris, so clean out intercooler and pipework, also MAF etc. My exhaust was also very smokey after cos of the oil being sucked through when the turbo failed! If you got 140k out of yours driving hard you've done well. Was yours remapped or standard?
