Temperature light flashes red and make a buzzing sound

Hi hoping someone has had this happen and can help me out.Just bought my 2005 Leon and I have noticed that first thing in the morning when I start the car the Temperature light turns red and makes a buzzing sound.Help please

Yeah quite common? It will most likely be the prongs in the water expansion bottle, get a long thin screwdriver and give them a gentle scrape.
Or it could just be the temperature outside is bl**dy cold

As Bruce said. Check connectors in coolant reservoir.
