Love the blue Cupra:D

Great job on the Vinyl!! How much did the full thing cost? Material and labour?

Hi Ross,

Unfortunately as its my company that did the work, I cant actually reply to that as SCN deem that as trading which I fully understand. we work out of a unit in Godstone just off the M25 and co-locate our services with one of the UK's top detailers though!.

Were you thinking of giving it a go?

Looking good, think i might have to look into having my car done. how long does it usually take to do a full car?

Its usually 1 day prep, 2 days wrap, 1 day finishing. Some comapnies do manage to so it in 2 days though......

so how does it deal with rough weather, usual unavoidable car park scratches etc?

It deals with rough weather like ... vinyl really! its 5-7yr life product so its coping just fine!

I have had one slight scratch that ripped the vinyl (don't know what from) and I have managed to "heal" it with the heat gun. the other option is to just re-wrap that panel!

Two things i wanna know..... does the finish look like paint? as i see from a couple of pics there isnt much reflection, even though there is a "shine" as such off the vinyl.

And also...can you polish it?

user name on there is dubnut71 so i guess he is

Yeah I stuck it up to gauge interest, another project looming to my door!

It heals pretty well with minor scratches but at the end of the day its still vinyl not kryptonite! if it gets badly ripped then you can also just re-do that panel.

It cover very well, if a black car is covered white then there is no "transparency" to the film if thats what you mean, it can be polished by hand, using a polish that contains some degree of filler. a PC or Rotary is not recommended due to the heat build up.

whats it like when you use a power washer ? do you get wrinkiling and sagging if some one gets a bit ott?

Nope! its stuck fast! but saying that I am power washing mine regularly and if you apply a bit of common sense its fine. hold the lance 1" from the film and you'll damage it just like you will remove paint, it conforms to the panels and the seams / joints are located to take account of water ingress but like anything else, apply a suitable amount of idiocy to it and you'll damage it......:)

I am using this car as a rolling test bed for this particular wrap film (there are others) and its holding up very well!

well, obviously like paint, the finish will dull down if it doesnt get polished / waxed...

so wat i was really meaning, was - can it been polished / waxed so that it doesnt look like an old transit van with sum livery ?

ps: wee pm with a price for a full car wud go down a treat ;)[B)]

Would a new white Leon with black 18''Orions look too OTT with either a carbon wrap bonnet or roof?

ive just been trying to get a quote for this although just the roof in carbon, think the bonnet would be ott. i however have to get the whole car done in white first.
