look ladies and gentlemen it is very simple, stop being idiots and post what you want by the rules of the forum, read them first and abide by them, plain and simple,i have deleted posts for cars for sale in excess of 10 thousand pounds, just because you haven't put any contact information,a nod and wink smilie does nothing i'm afraid,i do not make the rules, they have been set by m0rk and zboyd(or zboyd and m0rk)
would you sell your house without any info to an estate agent?would you e-bay anything without any kind on proper contact info?
re-read the rules as per cupranet and please stop me deleting ads.
thank you

Surley contacting by pm is enough? then email address etc can be given to those who are serious. that way theres no chance of any spam mailers, malicious email mail senders to take advantage

it's not because of that.

The reason is because Zboyd & I got 'a lot' of emails from guests & n00bs who can't PM

'please can you email xyz about his dildo that I want to buy, but he's left no contact information'

I mean - this is OK once in a while, but when you're talking of 10-15 a day it's a pain in the ass just ignoring & deleting them, let alone helping them out.

I hear xyz's dildos are sooooperb though. So the girls in the office tell me anyway.

FWIW I agree. If someone provides a free service for you to advertise something the least you can do is format that free ad the way they want it, even if they want your inside leg measurement, the age of your great, great grandmother on the paternal side and to know what you had for dinner 3 weeks past Tuesday. As it stands the rules here are all the way they are for good reason so nobody should have a problem with it.

Personally if I was selling a car on here I'd create a dedicated email address for the sale - I've done it in the past and had it mail out a document with pics and spec automatically. That way you don't need to type your email addy. Alternatively you could allow email in your profile and so give the facility with a button without publishing the addy on the internet, or you could use some anti-spam measure in the address such as name[AT]isp.com or name@[NoSpam]isp.com. Anyone who can't cope with that probably can't operate a phone/find you/be trusted out on their own so won't buy whatever you have for sale anyway.

I did that, had a yahoo account set up for things like this and there is a function on Yahoo accounts that allows it to forward mail to another account. I had the yahoo account foward mail to my main personal address, when the job is done, simply switch off the forwarding function!

I recently put up a for sale ad, stuck to the rules and it was never approved.

I did read the rules though, provided contact info etc.

just a note - make the ads as idiot proof as possible

i/you/cats mother may know you can click the avatar and send pm/email etc but joe bloggs who registered 2 mins ago may not i'm afraid

if you are worried about scammers taking address off site etc simply make it a link?

CLICK TO EMAIL FOR INFO :mobile:

copy the above if needed and edit name - or use the email link button when posting

it saves a lot of time/hassle and helps the Net Virgins buy your worldy goods

If they are all too dumb to read and understand the rules to start with why does Jason, Mark and ZBOYD bother to keep on trying to explain their actions.
Surely you boys have better things to do.

This sort of thing justifys eugenics in my opinion.

P.s mOrk isn't being a donor its just a scam to get away from all the idiots for a week or so fair play Mark.

I've got a question.

I just posted a for sale ad and completely forgot about putting contact details on it. Now i can't see or find the thread to edit it coz its hidden pending approval.

Whats gonna happen with that?

All i want to add is my email address.

The only issue I have with the rules is the bit about everything having to have a price.

Like all my stuff from the Cordy, I have no idea what any of it's worth, but I had to put prices on some of it which might be well over priced

But it's in the rules so people should stop wingeing about it ;)

i used to 'look after' the For Sale section (amongst others ) on T'other side..... and i AGREE that its a right royal pain in the arse at times having to answer all these benign questions from some dicko whos virtually computor illiterate there are rules set , so if your TOO stupid to read them or just plain old CANT BE ARSED... then WHY SHOULD who-ever it is on here that 'mods' that section be arsed ???? ..............

RIGHT......... CARRY ON...;)
