Ignoring the dash gauge as that will sit at 90 when you are not even at 90 ;) can you keep an eye on what the temp is steady at when warm.

Thought it be a useful thread for other people to gauge their problems from others findings.
Also mines hitting max of 87 but doesn't cool on coasting/down hill (yet lol)

Mine was replaced in January 2010

Tried mine last night on the CC, hit 90 on the gauge a bit quicker than it got to on the CC,but once there it sat at 90,no deviations at all,if i get the chance will take vag-com out today and see what results i get with that.

I was waiting in a car park today. Fans kept coming on and at one point the lg read 105 for coolant. It also threw up a fault code- 16395. I have had a look on Ross tech and the description means nothing to me. On the drive home it sat between 76-79 so hopefully it was a one off. Did wonder though as I topped my coolent up yesterday if that was related to it. The dash gauge sat at 90 the while time.

It's always there or thereabouts. Today first time over 90 since I had lg. Dash reading stayed at 90.

right just an update after a few weeks of having the thermostat fitted and settled, its holding about 87-94 various on the LG sticks to 90 whilst at 70 on the motorway,

the dash gauge holds 90 all the time once up to temp too
