Thoughts on black alloys on a grey Ibiza?

My wheels are booked in for a refurb on Tuesday but I'm undecided on what colour I'm going for: thinking of playing it safe and sticking with silver, or being more adventurous and going for grey or black...

Any pics of grey Ibizas with grey or black wheels would be much appreciated.

Or, if no pics, what are people's thoughts on this idea?

Cheers
Ally

(I've asked in the photoshop section for someone to do my wheels in black and grey but nobody's managed to do them so far and I'm running out of time!!!)

Where are you getting the refurb done? My wheels are getting really in need of some attention - a lot of the lacquer is coming off.
I found 'the alloy wheel specialist' online and they want £280 or thereabouts for a complete refurb. I think they can do a 1-day turnaround as well on them. I can't decide whether to get that done or just pay a bit more for some new 17" wheels with tyres.

I have also been trying to decide if I do get them done what colour I would go for - standard or black/anthracite. My Ibiza is the dark silver-grey and I can't decide!!

Get them brighter silver like Rash's.

The wheels look bigger and they will stand out.

Where you getting them done Ally? Local to yourself?

Andy/Keefy - getting them done local to me: Williams Powdercoating in Falkirk. Quoted around £150-170ish for 17s inc removing/refitting tyres He's done a couple of sets of alloys for my father-in-law and the quality seems great. 48hr turnaround too.

Still totally undecided.

Im considering gunmetal grey or possibly very light (almost white) silver.
First of all I thought about very bright silver (totally forgot about Rash's wheels being like that - I'll away for a look in a minute) but then saw a grey MINI with black wheels last week and it suited it a lot. Still not convinced though.

Here's a pic of my father-in-law's 130 Sport with his refurbed wheels in grey:

^^^They were done at the same place I'm using, so that colour's an option...

Did a bit of searching earlier on - hope the owners don't mind me reposting their pics - but here's a few pics I'm looking at and trying to decide:

Grey on grey Ibiza Cupra:

Black on black Ibiza FR (could be a photoshop though?):

Black on black Leon (but same wheel design):

I spent ages trying to pick a colour...nearly drove me mad! Eventually i figured out that i wanted something different other than silver, as nearly every car on the road have silver wheels..

Altech - cheers for posting those pics. That looks a close match for the colour of my father-in-law's wheels, i.e. the colour I know I can get. I'm quite liking that :)

It's down to between grey and silver now...

Help! :headhurt:

Yep grey gets my vote...but i am a bit biased:p.

How about a grey basecoat with a silver fleck in the lacquer? That way in strong sunlight the wheels will look sort of silver..

Or how about grey inside the egde of the spokes with a polished face? A member on here has done it with his Leon FR wheels and it looks amazing. I was going to try a polished face...but going down to the bare metal would show up old curb marks etc.
