Hello
I was writing a detailed reply to a post in the Alhambra forum & hadn't realised that the forum had timed out. I had to relogin & lost all the post. To say I was peed off is an understatement My rewritten reply is much shorter & less detailed. what is the timeout duration & why did I lose my work?[:@]

When you login, tick the box that says 'remember me' - do that.

I think the cookie timeout is like 20 minutes - but don't worry there's a character limit too at about 10,000 so don't go writing a summary of the bible in one post.

You lost your work because you didn't hit 'Post', didn't tick the box stating 'remember me' & maybe did something else.

Unfortunately you're also working on the most unstable of connections, it's called the internet. If you're going to put any more than ten minutes into a post, write it in notepad first, then copy it over and post. I do that whenever I've done a how-to or guide, especially if it includes photo's.

Anyone who regards the internet as being reliable and stable is only kidding themselves.
