Evening,

Just followed the standard instructions to get the engine cover off my Cupra R and boy was it fun!

Turned out you need to be arnie (without the heart problem) to even get close to getting it off.

I on the other hand are somewhat of a skinny guy with muscles that would disappear under a normal human...

Are there any tips once everything has been prepared lol

Taken the intake pipe away, taken off the air hose at the back, disconnected the maf, and gave it a bloody good tug like I saw in the video...

Cheers

Be careful as I snapped part of the back off mine when I last took it off and had to buy a new one as it left the air filter showing!

I remove the bottom, nearest bumper first then push the top bit off pushing at 45 degrees with my hands under it as close to the rubber fixing points as possible.

The bonus is the only replacement I coild find on eBay means I now have an Audi S3 engine cover to confuse people!

Also to be careful when refitting not to damage the VVT solenoid connector that sits under the back right corner of the airbox as its easy to crack.
