Toledo TDI Radiator

Hi Guys,

Can any of you Toledo TDI owners do me a favour ?

I need the part number of the Radiator fitted to your Toledo Mk2 1.9 TDI 110.

There is a little white sticker down the right hand side of the radiator between the top hose and the Fan switch.
I just removed the battery cover and held a small torch, and at the right angle you can clearly see the label.

I have looked on Vagcat.com and also ETOS, and there are conflicting part numbers listed.
The main part number is the same 1J0 121 253 but it is the following letters that are different.

To make things very confussing, my 2002 car doesn't have any of the radiators listed ?
I think the radiator is dependent on combinations of auto/manual gearbox and air conditioning.

Most TDI's out there are SE's like mine, so should have the same radiator.

I figure the only way to find out for sure is to ask a Toledo owner..

I am really confused as my car has the same 1J0 121 253N..

Etos lists the Rad as a 1J0 121 253AD if it has Air conditioning, and to make maters worse my dealer insists my car should have a 1J0 121 253G.

I think I have now got to the bottom of it..

1J0 121 253G 430x414 - Cars without Air conditioning
1J0 121 253G 650x414 - Cars with Air Conditioning (I think?)
1J0 121 253AD 650x414 - Heavy duty Cooling system - A/C and Auto gearbox ?

The 1J0 121 253N is £86.24 + Vat (£101.33) at my local VW dealer (Local SEAT Dealer says it is not the right one !!), so it makes the following Ebay purchase a bargain..

I have got the radiator, just got to get round to fitting it..

Anyone experience of changing Toledo/Leon Radiators ?
