Hi all!

Fairly new to the forum and haven't posted much but made a bit of progress with my beeza :)

My 1st car was a 1.2 Corsa C which I thought looked pretty smart when I finished with it :)

How I bought it:

:|

How it looked when I sold it:

After owning that for 2 years I moved onto my current Ibiza. When I bought the car it had suffered at the hands of an elderly woman so had some pretty serious damage to the rear quarters, but this was reflected in the price I picked it up for ;)

Its a 1.8 20VT FR in Zenith grey, has 47,000 on the clock currently after 6 months of ownership.

From the beginning:

Completely standard as you can see but with the addition of some dents in the rear quarters.

First things first was to sort the damage so a week later and it came back fresh, and then de-badged the boot, keeping the FR.

Pioneer CD player keeping with the factory dash colours

Next was to give the engine bay some bling so set about polishing the inlet manifold

Bushes were a bit squeaky so got the front end fully polybushed

Made an instant difference to the drivability of the car, handled so much smoother.

Compulsory LED's all round

Next on the cards was to de-wiper. Had to get creative as it was well stuck on there...

Had this on for a while but then got bored of it so took it back off

Picked this up for £10!!! still haven't fitted it yet though

Next up was some wheels... Picked these up silly cheap, Ibiza Mk5 SC alloys in need if a refurb

Set about re-furbing them myself as I did with my Corsa alloys, came out nice :)

Started heading in the direction of performance next with these bad boys:

Audi 312mm set up with Federo DS2500 pads, HEL braided hoses and Gulf Racing 5.1 fluid.

20mm spacers

And now to reveal my colour scheme...

:ban:

Wheels wrapped in Toyo proxies and on with the brakes and rear spacers :)

De-restricted pd160 intake was next

Nice little interior touch that comes in handy, centre sun visor

UK legal pressed plates

N112, N249 and SAI removal...

Black mirrors and grille surround

Coilovers were next, only cheap JOM's for now whilst I save for better ones lol

Can also see I painted the front 'S' black too in the 1st pic

More purple!!!

and finally picked this up rather cheap ;) Milltek sports-cat, brand new cat-back section on order as we speak :D

Milltek has arrived! :D

Also did a bit of vinyl wrapping, done behind the front plate and the lower lip of the bumper

Cheers man, won't be doing an awful lot more to the exterior, custom LCR splitter and a black roof will be the main things then want to focus on power/handling.

Looks nice. Quite like the purple route but you should do the alloys!

Also those plates aren't legal there's no postcode on them

Erm it took a long time but was quite easy.

I started with a little electric mouse sander and a very corse paper, then worked all the way down to a fine emery cloth then polished it up with Meguiars metal polysh :) Would be a lot easier if you took it off and got it on a polishing wheel but then you have to re-align the throttle body.

Can't decided wether to polish mine or paint it black and get my engine cover painted red. Mine is a mk3 cupra

Can't remember what the layout is like on the mk3's, is it similar to the mi4's? I like the polished looks tbh, gives the engine bay some shine lol

And the Milltek is on!!! Makes such a difference in both grin factor and performance

Progress!!

Main thing being that my little beezer has a stage 1 map on it now :D Wasn't going to bother with this at first as it'll be stage 2 soon (with any luck) but I've acquired a mate who does mapping now :p

It's nothing too special map wise, no rolling road or anything, but the SAI n249 and n112 have been mapped out, and the ecu now requests 1.2 bar peak dropping to 0.9 at the redline so its pretty nippy :D He also put a neat feature on it where on the over-run it dumps a tiny bit of fuel so it pops and bangs nicely even with the sports cat in!

Got a 710N from the Leon Cupra R to make sure it holds boost nicely (Cheap option as I'm skint, will be replaced with a 008p or APR R1 for stage 2)

I also finished the rocker cover off at last! since this its had a final coat and the throttle body has gone Vauxhall pearl metallic black along with all of the rocker cover nuts, but I havent got an up to date pic yet

Random cool pics...

Some more purple has also made it out of the engine bay!!!

No decent pics from afar yet I'm afraid but its quite subtle as you can imagine :)

Also now has wind deflectors and a fresh air-con re-gas for this week of summer we are having!!!

Oh... also got a SFS Turbo Intake Pipe on the way so just need a front mount (saving as we speak) then it'll be stage 2 ready technically :p although I may add some other bits before I get it mapped like a badger 5 inlet gasket and 2L TSI coilpacks.
