I use it all the time, its quite a useful little tool isn't it

For me this one is for making dashboards so that I can see whats going on in the engine.
The error checking and stuff I dont use as I have OBD11 for doing that sort of stuff.

But I have to say so far been impressed (pro only cost a couple quid), going to get into it a bit more as it seems to offer a lot of access to make both digital screens and live data feeds.

Started using it and here is a bit more background

When you log on to the application you get the following options

Realtime Information - this is what you use to make up a dashboard
Fault Codes - Just a tool to read if the car has any fault codes
Map View
ShiftLights - This is something i added it is a visual display of the output where the number of lights increase according to numbers
Test Results - This is a car check (more details below)
Graphing
Adapter Status
Help

This bit of the thread is to discuss the Realtime information

When you click on it you will get a default screen and you can either change this one or build a new one.

This section is about building a new dashboard from scratch.

Blank page - click on the screen and then select Add Display

First choice you have to make is Select type of display

Select the one you like and then you will be asked to add a sensor (or data element).
The full list is below but obviously not all cars will have all values so this is just an indication of what is there, It also highlights in Green the ones that your car is showing. POINT TO NOTE THIS SHOULD WORK ON ANY MAKE OR MODEL CAR WITH OBD2 Port.

Having selected one of these you have not to select what size you want the dial to be

Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, Larger or Extra Large (enjoy playing here)

Select that and then the dial is shown on your screen and you can then move it to where you want it.

Example of what it looks like here

Is there any major ‘lag’ when using this? I’ve seen some apps my friends have used that have a 3 or 4 second delay between them doing something and it displaying on screen.

Not noticed it ye but very early stages of playing.
What I have seen in general on Bluetooth tools is the more data you are pulling the slower the response on the screen

Not that I have noticed , in the read me it states "real time" but I guess that would be dependant on the speed of the Bluetooth adapter/phone combination .

And it only cost 2.95 to find out if it works fast enough for you or not.

How are you guys keeping the info available to see (one would assume a mount of some sort), or are you doing the driving and then checking the logs as I assume things like boost and and sensor readings may need to be read live...

Got my connector arriving tomorrow hopefully

Cheers

I have a cd-mount phone holder for mine but its too low and too much of a distraction to look at , I need to look at how and where its mounted to be honest.

I just looked at the sticky silicon based dock type things so you can just lift it off if needed but didn't know if there was anything else worth looking at. I've noticed that @theoldboy is always trying to spend my money haha
