Guys, I am going to the seatcupra.net meet at donningon park on the 8th july (yes that was a plug come along to) and want to get a dash cam to take some pics of the car on the track.

Some of the great and good on YouTube have some very fancy software that lets you have a mix of front, back and dashboard.

So to my question what are good dash cams, i have seen a lot of Nextbase models around are they good for track work.

I have OBD11 and Torque Pro OBD2 Devices are there any specific dongles that are good for recording the cars progress round the track

Lastly is there any decent software (PC or MAC) that i can used to edit the various streams into one video.

Thanks very much for any feedback.

Most track days and laps are filmed on go pros or similar. Considered one of them rather than a dashcam?

With a dash cam you'll need to merge all the individual 30second or so clips together using software. The go pro can just film the lot and run on the battery for hours so no need to plug in
