Cheers duzza. The springs you made me are really good, not as harsh as I was expecting. Scrapes one one speed bump but I just go over that differently now aha. Well worth it, spoiler would be no CE, tempting but I wana try not spend any money on it. If a pair of skirts/spoiler come up cheap I might reconsider. Road holding in the soaking wet is great at speed you shouldn't do, but that could be the Vred ultrsc tyres as well as the springs

I'm really happy with my car overall

Hi mate, I didn't make them myself lol but they were made at our manufacturing plant and I am a spring designer :)
I'll pm you a price when I'm back at work on Monday, also sold a pair to Lukeyy on here and he's well chuffed too.

Yep, no complaints with the springs at all. Really nice and flat cornering now. Duzza, send me the commission we discussed in the post ;)

But seriously they are fine :)

So as it was actually a pretty nice day today (warm if you out and about doing work) I put my mad skillz to the test and gave the Cupra some loving. Sprayed, washed, clayed and waxed for winter. Gave the inside a little clear out too. First time claying but I think I got the hang of it. I think all the pics are missing tyre shine but it is on now :p

Quick comparison with my mums Ford Ka.(and tyre shine woop) Not much less of an arch gap. The cupra looks how it should of out of the factory now with 35m drop all around, the back is lower than the front.

Update time too :)

The intercooler on these is pretty small but rather than spending lots to get a little gain. I thought I'd try something a little different.I found this bit little bit too that goes some way to show it works a little. Best way ive found to describe them is put your hand out of the window- they, wet your hand, do the same, feel how cold your hand gets? when the water evaporates it takes heat with it. Since ive been really kicking my cars head in recently I have noticed a drop in power towards to end of the day so they spray system should help out :)

Might not be worthwhile. But will be interesting and fun to do. Will put updates on when I get it installed.

I was thinking about this but the amount of salt and spray the front of the car gets during the rainy/winter months hopefully won't cause too much issue. Maybe put small bit of something in the water to slow/stop the corrosion.

Loving looking ride pal. Looks spot on. :D That colour is awesome!

I've got the polo 6R GTI, and just bought the forge induction kit from a guy who had an ibiza cupra. Seems as mine already has the battery in the boot, i really want to locate the air box like you have done. Could you be so kind as to point me in the right direction off where you got the elbow from, or any more information on how you created the setup please.:) Cheers, Nathan

hehe yep, I picked her up today I was up there at lunch. its not using excessive oil but i got it checked anyway. Im guna try make it use its oil and then get the new parts any way. Just for peace of mind. Shes not looking her best with standard alloys back on though the drop looks good still.

What you doing up that end? have you bought the grey Cupra they had??

Not got the cooler spray fitted yet. going to wait until spring, no need for it at the moment.

i got the elbow from the sirrocco kit forge do :) many thanks for teh compliments :)

So if anyone was wondering, I had my car in for oil test few weeks ago. Though I think they overfilled it. Couldnt really drive it hard with the weather. The test showed neglible loss of oil. They used shell 5/30 Long Life. 3040grams went in 3038grams after 600miles. From my calculations it uses 1L every 2100miles. So its within tolerance even before it went in, I just wanted to see what they would do for me. Only thing i can think thats changed is I took the induction kit off when they had the car and didnt put it back on for the 600miles. Wouldnt think the forge kit would cause oil use though?

Hopefully the weather will dry up and I will change onto my sparco rims and Vred Rubber. Hit the road, I fancy doing some more drag strip and track days this year :)

No plans to really modify the car any more. Ive got my spray kit that still needs fitting but apart from that, unless something jumps up at me cheaply it will be left as she it.

EDIT: no i wasnt up on the M65 hehe, better late than never
