Sparco dont make pipes or smoking jackets.... But if they did ;)

I bought them because someone mentioned when out on track working hard all day hands get sweaty ect and gloves give some more grip.

hej, Jay1990. I love your rimms, i think of getting Sparco Aseto Gara but in lime green :) Can you tell me, yours are 17x7,5 am i right ? what is ET ? Am asking because i want mine to be more hidden into body of car ( not to rub with metal shell). Im thinking of something very simmilar to stock cupra rimms - 17x7 ET43.

Yeah there 17x7.5 can't recall the ET but its on my invoice at home.

I'm on 35mm springs and Have no rubbage lol its only as low as it should of looked from factory now.

I'd of loved lime green alloys but they wouldn't suit my coloured car!

Jay

Brakes and fluid Have made a massive difference, nearly went through the windscreen first time I used em. Pedal used to feel mushy And didnt get much stopping power until 1/4 the way down now its about 1/8 of an inch. Will see how they cope on track next weekend

Its fast approaching now Copey :) 2 days time

Just gave the car a quick clean and hoover before the track day, took all the crap in the glovebox etc out.

The EBC Redstuffs and ATE Fluid have made braking a much more...sudden movment :) and its great to have my Sparco alloys back on. Makes a massive difference to the looks of the car. The brakes are not as effective the first few times you start off on a cold morning but when they bite they do really well, hopefully bedded in nicely now.

No red stuff wont as there designed for tracks days really and not road use, had loads of friends with various ebc pads.

I think you will do pretty well, you have prepped for it well enough.

They are for road use mate. Green stuffs are for "stopping from legal limit" like OEM+ style. Yellow is for fast road/track use upto 200bhp and REd stuff is Fast road/track over 200bhp.

Yeah, got a mate in the passenger seat whos been around it before so should be good fun.

I think it just comes down to preference with pads, i found that red stuff didnt have enough bite for me until they were really warm which isnt allways the case when you on the roads as i would have needed to hoon it everywhere which is just silly so i would have prefered them for track use.

Personally i will use Mtec grooved with half decent pads and decent fluid, should be more than enough for this car. Id go for biggers breaks if i was running much more power than you are.

Good luck with the track day and its looking pretty clean in the photo's.

Fair enough, was that on the meg 225? Yea likewise if I was running much more than stage 1 brakes would be upgraded.

No on a friends car, my mates seem to trust me driving there cars so get to drive a fair few lol

I liked the idea of the racing brakes but £1000+ for brakes is silly, if they had made them cheaper i think alot more people would have wanted them as an option.

I will look into better brakes if i keep the car but i keep looking at meg 265's and gt86's .

Well the day @ Cadwell was brilliant. Few pics, no vids ( :sob) No offs, no nearlys, maybe I was taking it too easy ;) Didn't feel like it though aha.

Car really outperformed its self in my eyes. The brakes/rubber were brilliant and it the handling even with the rear end emptied was really neutral with under steer only setting in after about 5-6 hard laps(could be solved with lowering psi pressure's in tyres)

Few pics(if you've not seen them) STILL waiting on a friend for some DSLR pics. Grr

In the Youtube on my other thread, yeah, way too much entry speed and he shouldnt of been overtaking in the braking/turn in area anyway especially without content. a Rover did the same move to me but I saw it coming and had to go wide(difficult on the sharp left/right before the mountain!!)

It was a brill day Going back soon as I can
