Turbo hiss

What is it that makes that hissing noise on some turbo cars when they go to change gear?
Is that what you call the dump valve or blow off valve? Can I fit one to my car to do that, It's a mk5 ibiza cupra 12 plate.

Dump valve...does your car have a turbo? If so then yes. Should already have a standerd one fitted.

Yes turbo and supercharger but no hissing noise when changing gear!!

Not when you change with a dsg. The advantage of it is the dsg means boost can be held So its quicker, hence No pressure release unless you come off the power.
