Has anyone had an uprated clutch installed on their 1.4 150ps? Any recommendations?

My clutch is fine at the moment, but if it goes then I will probably go for an uprated one, as it's on stage 1 remap.

Cheers guys

What is the bump in power and torque with the map and how long have you been running with it without issue? Can anyone confirm what the torque rating is for the OEM clutch on the 1.4 and that might dictate whether you really need to consider an upgrade or replacement.

I upgraded the clutch on my Cupra to a Helix Sintered unit when I went for the remap but the OEM clutch on the Cupra is a known weak point when upgrading. Not sure if Helix do a clutch for the 1.4. Sachs are the other popular supplier for Cupra that I'm aware of.

Hi

I don't have the exact figures, as it wasn't on a dyno. It was estimated as approx 30bhp and 40nm, if I remember correctly. It was a Viezu power map. What I do know is, that it's smiles more pulling power than before

I've had the map for about 5 months now, no issues yet

I was just looking at the Sachs... I wonder do I have to change the fly wheel also, or just the clutch? Guess it depends on the type of clutch

Cheers

For stage 1 IF your clutch fails just get an organic clutch

Helix is my preference on clutches

I checked the Helix catalogue, seems there's no clutch for the 1.4 150hp.

The only one I found so far is from Sachs which also get decent reviews from the few I've read.

I replaced my flywheel at the same time as the clutch. However, looking at my original flywheel, I think I could have kept it as it looked in good condition and I couldn't see any signs of the hotspots the garage mentioned to me over the phone when they were doing the work. Its often recommended to replace flywheel at the same time as the clutch due to the labour costs being nil and the wear on the old unit.

Thanks for the advice lads.

I see the Sachs clutch and fly wheel in my future I think... This remap is way too much fun :D

Cheers

Hi, Im new to the forums scene and I have stumbled across your forum. I would like to ask where did you buy your new Flywheel and Clutch kit from. As my flywheel needs replacing. Other than Eurocarparts is there anywhere else could possibly buy one from?. I have a Seat Leon MK3 2014 2.0TDI.

What power are you planning on running? I've had my 1.4 150 mapped to 176bhp, 310nm torque and have no issues with my clutch. A stage one shouldn't require an upgrade to the clutch, unless you're already having issues or the clutch is fairly worn.

Mines currently Standard at 184bhp.But having problems with my flywheel. Wanted to know the best replacement there is. Also after fitting the new Flywheel and Clutch. Will be soon a stage 1 remap to 230bhp. So any recommendations on what flywheel and clutch I should upgrade to? Thanks.
