Is it the ball joint but on the top or the 3 on the bottom?

On the track rod end, IMO you just need some freeze release or give it a good soaking of WD40 or the like

If replacing or have new nuts go halfords and buy a nut splitter.

Thanks bickerton they look like it will do the job. I'll just have a to try and cut one of the small ones off the ball joint. Sorry it took so long to reply I've had a bit of bother with my internet

Nut splitter will take seconds, really a worth while investment.
