New cars have warranty, mine was a company car too.

However, I had zero issues in 2yrs & 50k

Whereas with my Octavia vRS & Ibiza Cupra (both bought new) were back at the dealers in their first three months.

It's luck of the draw I think

Re the Original Post.

The top 3 sellers in the US are consistently the Ford F150, Chevy Silverado and RAM 1500. Between them they probably sell at least as many as the next 10 vehicles on the list.

Most months the Ford alone sells at least double the amount that the best selling sedan does (normally Camry or Civic). All the best selling sedans are Japanese or Korean so it's fairly obvious that the big 3 are going to concentrate on profitable vehicles rather than stuff the Oriental manufacturers do better.

I had one in the UK before I moved.

It was the car I always needed, but thought I knew better. Big enough, comfortable enough, economical enough.

I'm done with sitting on the floor eyes level with lorry tyres.

No worries about that in a 150, especially a 4WD one (higher stock suspension). I could see clear over the top of Range Rovers and Cayennes from the driver seat in mine.
