I originally posted in the REVO section but didn't muster much of a response.

I'm looking for some info regarding swapping from V-power to BP ultimate.

When I had REVO stage 1 installed last September I was asked if I used Optimax/V-Power

I had used both BP ultimate and optimax/V-power till then and found i got better mpg and a smoother idle and generally smoother feel from ultimate.

I Have always used V-power/optimax since the remap but i'm now thinking of going back to BP Ultimate as I'm moving house and getting to a Shell garage will be a pain in the @rse.

With Revo is the ecu mapped specifically for V-Power???). Or all 98 ron fuel ?? (i think tesco some 98 (99?) ron unleaded???)

so, to get to the point:
With BP Ultimate being 97 ron will i experience any issues (performance, economy, idle or anything) if i use it instead of v-power?

will i require a visit to my revo dealer to have the map tweaked before switching to ultimate? and would they charge for ammending it?

cheers in advance.

I can't see it making a huge difference but I would make a phone call to Revo and ask the question mate, they will give you the most accurate answer.

It wont be mapped to the individual fuel... fuel doesn't have a certain flavour, or something so unique that anything else simply wont work!

It will be mapped to a higher RON rating, so any fuel that offers something similar or greater will be fine. So your car isn't mapped for VPower... it's mapped for 97+RON fuel, which means VPower, Ultimate and Tesco 99RON is all good :)

What ever the map is set to the car will adjust to the slightly different types of fuel used.

It will be safe.

ideal. I knew the car wouldn't explode but just wondered if i'd need revo tweaked. Next fill up will be BP Ultimate.

cheers.
