Hi everyone, i few years ago i owned my first V5 and loved it but stupidly sold it and regretted it ever since. this was my first one:

As i say, i should never have sold it but the time eventually came to replace it with my new one:

So far i've ordered Jamex coilovers and a Cupra splitter, now i've just got to decide on the wheels

nice to see something else than the LCR's and Ibizas for a change.

Lowered and maybe some other rims should sort it nicely

it's definately getting lowered and wheels changed but still unsure what wheels to go for. I think the Toledo looks nice with RS6 alloys but want something a bit different.
It'll have the bottom of the bumpers colour coded and a rear window spoiler as soon as funds permit then a remap by John at DNA Tuning as i've been reading loads of great reports about him from the Golf V5 forum

Did you manage to get the Coilovers fitted yet???? I have been looking at these struts for my car but wondered what they were like? They seem pretty cheap and decent quality

Not yet mate, should be getting them fitted this weekend. The car has been in my local specialist for a while sorting out my locks/window issue i had so i've only just got the car back today. I've had the coilovers for a while now and they do look decent quality but it'll be saturday before i can tell you what the ride quality is like.
Also got my Cupra splitter to fit too :)

Would be good to see some pics if you get them fitted.... I love low cars, but its impossible to get to my house without going over speed bumps..... My previous car was a 300 bhp MR2 turbo and that was lowered about 40mm so can go fairly low.....:D

I'll get some pics up as soon as it done mind i still need to decide on replacing the wheels with either 17's or 18's - can't make my mind up
I love low cars too but have previously had to replace the sump on my first V5 so i'm a bit reluctant to go too low saying that, i loved dropping my previous car, Audi A6 on 19's

I fancy some 18"'s for mine.... Should be no problems with the arches rubbing as there is no return lip..... Even 19's should fit easily...

yeh i know what you mean, i prefer the 2nd set too as i think a black & polished set would set the car off with it being silver.

The 2nd set are very similar to the ones fitted to my MK5 Jetta.... They will look good. I wanted to try them on my Silver 20v Toledo too see what sort of look they give, but the stud pattens are different......:(

I want to see a Cupra R front end looks like on a Toledo.... I am wondering whether to colour code the standard front end or fit a Cupra R front..

After I lower the car the Cupra R front bumper might be too low for the Multi-Storey at work..... Don't want to have to repair it all the time...
