Hi, is there anyone in the exeter area who has VAG COM?
What I want to do, if possible, is make my fog lights my daytime running lights.
Does anyone know if this is possible? And how to do it?
Also to update my 2.1 media system do I need VAG COM?

Thanks

Jamie

I've been having a look around the mk5/6 Golf forums as the central electrics module will be very similar to the Leon's and also had a quick scan of the mk2 Leon section on here but not found anything concrete.
If people have done it successfully there will be info on the net somewhere!

I'm not too sure about what you want to do with the Media System though. I've done the latest updates on my RNS 510 but it is different to the SEAT system.

I've done 'staging' which is the needle sweep in the dials on my car so that should work on yours too.

that sounds great. does it seem difficult? and the needle sweep would be cool.
Also do you know if you can disable the bulb warning light for the number plate bulbs? Because I really want LED ones but every set i get throw up a fault. they all claim to be no error ones but no such luck.

Thanks

With a bit of trial and error it should be okay, doesn't look too difficult.

The number plate LEDs that don't give error messages are sold by a company called convert2xenons and cost about 36 quid, at least that's the ones the mk6 Golf owners use and they've tried all sorts of bulbs that all gave errors. I think the very latest mk6 Golfs come with LED number plate lights as standard but I don't know if these are an easy retrofit.
