I fitted a new maf (bosch).

As when it was unplugged it drove and boosted so much better.

Would the next thing to look at a boost leak?

Any other things i could factor in and look at?

Anywere in particular that breaks easily?

I have vag com but not sure how to use it exactly.

Can someone give me some pointers?

cheers in advance

Do you actually have the full VCDS or just the £5 one of eBay? If it's the eBay one it's nit worth using plus you can't get messuring blocks up with that one, if you have the full VCDS go in to messuring blocks and see how things look there

I have the full version. All the readings are in tolerance levels.
I havent had chance to drive it and have a look at the boost yet.
Im just going to get a boost gauge which will be easier to assess while driving.
Got a mate coming in a few days with his boost leak tester so hopefully should be able to pin point the problem.
My tolerence levels on block 32,33 were in tolerence but thought i might aswell get a maf and see if it solves my problem. Then if its fine i have a spare as i know these are very unreliable.
Theres no missfires on the vag com so the coil packs and spark plugs are fine. Plugs werent changed long ago.
Air time sensor seems to be reading fine as its not jumping around on the vag com reading and drops in temp once revved

In block 32/33 what % is it messuring? Is it running rich to lean? Or is it staying on ether at a high %?

I cant remember what the readings were.
I created a spreadsheet with a few bits of info on a couple of weeks ago.
Are you looking for the two lambada control readings? (32,33)
Ill grab it off vag com tomorrow and keep you posted mate.

The N75 looks very old (metals starting to rust) so worth a look.
cheers mate.
Im new to all this normally take my car to a garage and let them sort it but gotta start somewere

Done my readings on vag com.
Idle o2 - -0.6%
Pre cat between- -1.6% to 5.5% mostly running in positive only drops into negative rarely.
Adaption- 0%
Hope that's enough info

Your pre cat is high mate, well not high but looks like u have a leak, it should be like -0.06/1.2 lean to rich constantly, figers I put are just a reference but it should be like that, think u may have a leak somewhere, no what to do put vag on again and put it back on to messuring block and pull your dipstick out, watch what happens to the figers, do it when the cars running

Best way to test if it's bad is to take the pipe of the n75 to the waist gate and watch and see if the psi rises on guage when engine is turned on, block 114 or 118 i Think, I'll have alook myself mate in a few days

If you remove the line and are able to achieve the correct amount of boost (whilst being careful not to overboost) then you may have a bad N75. If you remove the line and it runs the same then you have a wastegate problem, turbo problem, or a large boost leak.

I don't have a boost guage.
Should I just drive it and see how it feels?
It it boosts better just replace N75?
What should I do in order to not over boost?
I had my turbo checked a few months back by a turbo company close to me and they said its in good order. looks like its all reconditioned recently.
