If you earn around say £40k, buying a Seat is more likely than earning £200k and buying the Seat instead of an Audi(or BMW etc),horses for courses as they say.

Couldn't agree more. The RS6 is literally the ultimate car.

Really depends what you like? Brother in law had a recent one; fast, luxurious and heavy, it got sold fairly quickly. He enjoyed his 370z a lot more, which kind of tells you how ultimate it was from his perspective. He likes his fast bikes and caterhams, the RS is more than a bit on the lardy side compared to them. Personally, I’d prefer any decent hot hatch as long as it had close to 400 bhp and sub 1400 kg. :) I really don’t like big heavy cars.

RS should have remained Avant only in my opinion and an exclusive estate is the reason I have my Carbon Edition. Tracked my old RS6plus and was sorely tempted to take my dogs when I took it to Vmax. But I also hooned about in a Clio 172 Cup - the only car I've bought for less than a year's salary.

So now I'm reliving my glory days - on a budget, with a different set of dogs having spent 2 years' salary on a car I really enjoy. I'm not your typical Audi driver so let's leave the clichés behind. After all, my other car's a Skoda - all 65 horses.
