Leon FR Mk2 facelift model (CR)

What's actually wrong?

Any picture/ explaination.

I got my self a diagnostic module. Only £15 from Amazon

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0...diagnostic&dpPl=1&dpID=41NMoQs1xvL&ref=plSrch

I don't if thats what your after. I've not yet used it on my Leon but have used it to check and clear engine fault codes of various brand of cars in the past. If that's what you're after, then thats the machine I have, works well for me

Also if you have a light continually on it suggests there may be a fault with your air bag system. If once cleared and comes.back then there maybe an under lying fault.

Let.me know if this helps.

Manny - we have a cheap code reader which clears low level faults but it isn't finding the SRS airbag fault.

I think I know what the issue is, we took the cupholder out to clean it and disconnected the airbag warning light which is mounted in the cupholder. I think that has caused a fault to be registered.

Situation is now this :-
Turn ignition on get the usual warning lights, start the car, they all go out, then the airbag light comes back on.

I know airbag faults a re faily common the MK2's but I am hoping that this isn't a fault, just a false fault we caused when we disconnected the airbag warning light in the cupholder.

I need VCDS to investigate and clear the airbag fault abd the cheap code readers won't do it. Obviously if I clear it and it comes back, then we have another issue somewhere.

Been meaning to reply. Thanks for the update, wayy!

Let's hope it stays that way. What else can that do?

Is it the same sort of device used to change other things on or off for VW group cars or just another diagnostic device?

A link to where you bought it would be interesting.
