What ****in dickheads. What else did they do? Also, really love your car. How is the back windows without the wiper during the rain?

Thanks mates, try to keep car running. One trackday left for this summer and I could be that next summer Leon will be retired from track driving and will stay as everyday car for me.

And it's good to drive with out rear wiper, I simply hate rear wiper it scratch rear window and at wintertime wiper blade is anyway frozen stuck to rear window. And I have Nano coating at every window of my car, it's like well waxed paintwork so water stays at big drops and simply slide away :)

Saturday was the last track day of this season. Wasn't so success, I almost lost grip totally at braking. Two Evo8 was totalled and one TypeR Civic (FN2) took quite big hit also. Track was damn slippery and there was loose leaf, cold tarmac and wet.

Next plan is to modifie Seat to everyday car, and try to find track day car. I don't wan't to crach this one :) Also I have been reading how to customize ME7.xx and bought nessary OBD cables for software tuning. Possible I try to modifie car to run E85 by myself.

After ICE installation I notice annoying buzzing sound trough speakers, so I checked AMP, Stereo and car battery grounding. Checked also RCA lines and didn't find anything what could cause that buzzing sound when car is running. buzzing sound follows revs so I thought that I should check alternator also.

And no I didn't find any spikes which could indicate diode problems.

Exhaust manifold cracked and 250 000km driven "K03s" leaks little bit oil and there is small crack around waste gate.


So I ordered K03 Hybrid and and talked about custom software upgrade. Plans are to hit around 250-260hp / 360-370Nm coz I don't want to max out the turbo and engine. Have to ramp boost build quite gentle and try to keep torque levels low.

Removing turbo and manifold

Started to remove turbo and the cracked exhaust manifold this weekend. New turbo should arrive Tuesday and hopeful I get Wednesday to Friday off from the work.

Have to say that it's insane job to remove turbo this way on the garage floor. Specially from 4WD because transfer case and cardan took all working space underneath of the car.

Lots of fun removing the turbo especially on 4x4 cars isn't it? ^^

Yes it's pain in A** [:@] but I'm so glad that I manage to do it :)

Dyno session over

With light tuning we manage get 241hp and 375Nm. Stock MAF was biggest bottle neck, cos at the moment when we had aprox 230hp and 330Nm we removed MAF and done two pulls. Car was hitting ~250hp and between 5000-7000rpm power lever rised 15-23Hp.

Meaning that I have to find Audi TT225 or similiar Air filter box and MAF :) Low end torque was pain in ass we dropped that so damn much, so in future I have to bought H-profile rods and better clutch.

Edit: Before some one says that Power is low, this dyno don't do lottery. Stock 150hp 1.8t hits about 130-140hp in this dyno. Any way car felt so damn nice, not like BT and high power car but now it's nice little bit faster every day car ;)

Damn that it feels so different now, it's nothing like stock 180hp to mapped stg2. Now you can really feel the difference, specially at gears 1-3 :) pull so damn nicely.

Yesterday evening was time to changes winter tires on the car. Also installed new boost hose (one before pancake pipe) and found broken hose clamp (between turbo to hard pipe). Upper RPM boost level rise about 0,1-0,2bar according cheap boost gauge. Have to log with VCDS to see what really happend.
