I just want to add that I called W. Livingstone Ltd today about some information on the Leons wing mirror to see if the non folding mirrors still had the motors inside for them to fold.

They guy said confidently that all (teardrop shaped) wingmirros have the capability to and have the motors inside.

I didnt buy anything nor did I suggest i was going to buy anything but the guy on the parts desk was 100% great at his job and done W. Livingstone Ltd justice. Thank you

Just had the first service on my Altea FR carried out at W Livingstone Ltd this morning. Excellent service all round and it only cost £100.47p which is about £30 cheaper than I was quoted by Arnold :censored:.
The work was carried out and I was back on the road in less than an hour.
Will certainly be going back again next year.

My hubby was in today too with his Ibiza for its first service! I think his was £90'ish. He left his car at 8.15 and got a phone back of 9.30 I think to say it was ready. He was pretty impressed!

Used to go to Livingstone's all the time, until they misled me when I bought my second Leon from them a few years back. Told me certain items of spec. were the same as my previous model, and when I took delivery and found there were bits missing, was told "we wouldn't sell many cars if we told you what they haven't got".

Took them to small claims court and they paid out compensation just before the hearing, having wasted my time, theirs and their expensive lawyer's - just to save a few quid!!

Hope they thought it was worth it - they lost 3 previously-happy customers for good as a result.

Routine servicing was usually OK, but anything unusual that they couldn't be bothered to investigate or fix was just "no fault found".

I took my car in last week after hearing a creaking noise in the front when turning on full lock, and they couldn't see anything wrong, but they took the car in for a few hours and ended up finding the problem, and it went back in today to get the front suspension bushes changed and new headlights (misting).

Depends who you deal with i guess though...

The service manager can be a real stickler. The head sales guy David is a good bloke though.

Anyway, Livingstones are still way better than the chain of car showrooms we all know in Scotland!!

just had my 20k service service had pointed out a few issues to look at headlight condensation need new indicator bulb and main beam bulb, they said headlight condensation was fine. hasd a paint fading issue stealer said not covered by warranty lunar grey paint, stealer said it had been resprayed by previous owner but ran two hpi checks before buying and nothing showed so assuming it was done privately so thinking of gettin dentec in ritherglen or chips away in glasgow to touch it up. my rear right door only open from outside its not child lock stealer said it needs a new latch replacing it under warranty which runs out in january next year. Service frfom w livingstone was pretty good got a courtesy car for extra tenner it was ibiza ecomotive 1.4tdi quite nippy though for a small diesel but loud as hell. thinking of gettin bi-xenons can anyone offer me any info about this.

I agree they are good for getting parts in nice and quick, but when I was getting a new wing fitted and sprayed to my old leon, they made a great job of the paint... they did for got to tighten up all the bolts holding the wing to the car though!

I put my cupra R in there for a new tailgait lock and then less than an hour later found 1 of the mechanics driving it in bellshill:wtf: followed him back confronted him and he made up some excuse about hearing a noise and thought he would try and find out what it was for me ...... just a nice guy I dont think so . A drop link loose was what he said so when I got home checked all suspension parts on both sides and guess what no nut or bolt had been touched . So beware when leaving your beloved car there I would say.

when i gave my lcr in for it 20k serive at w livingstone yesterday noted milege before i left and wen picked up the car noticed that it was 4 miles difference, call me stupid but i dont think they need to drive ur car to service it. checked my milege cos of ur experience gary i think mechanics are known for that

w livinstone do tend to forget things and order wrong parts quite often though got my brembo pads and ipod link fitted, ordered ipod link 2 weeks before booked in to get fitted, a couple of months back all was gettin done on same day when i dropped my car off asked service manager if he needed radio card he quite clearly said no he didnt i thought this was odd cos for ipod link u would normally need radio card so about two and half hours after dropping car off got a call saying they needed my radio card then got another call an hour after that saying they had ordered ipod link part for mk2 leon. when i went to pick car up on that day was not happy as was lookin forward to say bye bye to cds and listen my music on ipod but wen i had a word with the service manager to make sure he ordered the right part he cheeky enough to say if they ordered the part for mk1 leon i must buy it from them and get it fitted from them i spoke to manager and told him it that it wanst my fault that they ordered that wrong part. so service is ok but could be alot better they dont even wash the car wen servicing it

I think a road test is part of a service isn't it?
I think you're right there.
In the 5 years I had my Leon, and the 4 services it got from them never had a problem(most recent service done by an independent).Girls on the service desk were top notch, and Sandy was excellent too with a few queries I had.No problems getting a courtesy car,esp as I got the Leon from them, and they were excellent with some extra work they did for me a few years ago(re-painted the off-side rear passenger door after some low-life keyed it the day my boy was born)
Unfortunately now left SEAT ownership for the time being but I would recommend them to anyone.

Have always had good experiences. Even when something has gone not quite right, they have been excellent at resolving the issue.

I prefer not to have the car washed so I have to remind myself to put a note in the car or say to the desk not to wash the car, but they are always usually reall kind and hoover it for me, even if I have hoovered it a couple of days previously.

Along with my husband, we only have praise for them.

If they ditched the SEAT franchise and started selling tatus or whatever they are called, we would stay with the garage based on the fact that they are so good.

dropped my car off yesterday to get door latch fitted in rear right door was told to be there by 8 am so it would be fitted by 10 so just waited at the garage when 10 oclock came they said they would have to keep car overnight as they needed a part so gave me a coyurtesy car for free thougth that was ok an 58 plate ibiza 1.2 pretty much bran new only done 400 miles from new went to pick up car the 4 today got the keys went to check the car to see if problem was still there and guess what still there went straight back into garage and demanded an explanation the service manager said he remembers me tellin it rear right and so did on the senior mechanics they inspected the car and realised they replaced the left rear instead and said i would have to bring it in again to get rear right door latch replaced these small kind of things let that garage down thats twice they have fitted the wrong part or ordered the wrong part. this will be my 4th trip to the garage for the same thing not to happy with service

I'm looking for a VW specialist rather than a Seat main dealer, anyone know of any in the central belt?

I've always had good service with W Livingstones over the past 6 years, and if you need a main dealer I would recommend them. But my ibiza is 6 years old now, done a lot of miles and starting to look rather tatty. I'll never sell it privately now, only trade in, so too not worried about the service history anymore and don't want to pay main dealer prices for servicing.
