I've noticed that there appears to be water underneath the car in the evenings after I get home.

Given the warmer than normal temperatures, I wonder is this water something to do with the Air Conditioning.
Condensation?

has anybody else had a problem like this before?

You could always dip your finger in it and sniff.
If it's coolant it'll usually have abit of a sweet smell, or sometimes smell abit rusty. Drips off the condenser won't smell of anything.

or check the header tank, see if it's obviously lost water.
