....My DSG knob i mean!

I drove a Golf GTI recently and the DSG knob in that was a machined aluminium thing with a leather insert - much nicer than the tacky plastic thing we get in our Seat's..... :(

Has anyone ever swapped the standard DSG knob out for a replacement?

I've done a tiptronic selector before in one of my older cars and it wasnt that difficult. Just wondering if the Golf one would be a straight swap and how much trouble sourcing one and swapping it will be...?

Cheers.

I have the Altea FR TFSi DSG and would love the golf shifter as it would feel much better when using the sequential shift, I mainly just use the paddles at the moment as the knob is so big and bulky.

keep us posted on if you manage to do it, would like to see it done.
