I'm interested to find out what '07 Cupra owners will be doing with their 3 year old Cupra's.

My car will be 3 years old next month and due its 1st MOT. I still have 1 service left as part of the service plan in December and will most likely keep the car for another year after that.

I have a feeling that now a lot of the 1st registered Cupra's will be 3 years old the market will come a lot busier with the older cars as people will be moving on.

I'm quite interested in a Audi B8 1.8T Sline or 2.0T Sline. What's other people doing?

Cheers

mine will be three year old at the end of may. I keeping mine though for the forseeable future as it still ticks all the boxes for me. At 15000m its barely run in lol. There's just nothing else at the moment that floats my boat.

Holding onto mine for the foreseeable future, can't afford to buy anything better in all honesty. Nothing really sets my world alight at the moment either. The Cupra R is no more special than my own car, so I see no reason to upgrade.

My own thoughts are to hang onto the Cupra for 4 or 5 years, its not done 10000miles yet so its not like its worn out. :)

I had stripped mine last year to sell, then decided that there was nothing worth buying over what I had and put most of it back on.

Will do a build thread soon, but this time in 2 weeks, it will have a Wavetrac Diff, Sachs Racing Clutch, Eibach Coilovers, VF Engine Mounts, Catch Can, modified fuel return, WALK in addition to the other stuff it already has. Happy 3rd birthday Bess :)

Oh and mine is the highest so far miles wise in this list - just turned 30,000 which is absolutely average for its age :)

Plan is to keep her to 5 years old now and see whats available to buy at that point.....

Hopefully the answer to the hesitation at high revs and jingling noise on spool. Some valve in the inlet manifold which has had problems on one or two 2.0T cars.

My May 2007 Cupra just turned 28k today and I intend to keep it for the forseeable future also, no problems to report and a great looking design. Still prefer it to any new cars in its class at the minute. So its going nowhere.

To be fair I'm also thinking the same and mine only has 21,000miles on.

I'm thinking the same, whats in the cupra's class to replace it with, to be fair I only bought my 07 last september and got it and a really good price just hitting 41k so a bit overmiles but should pull that back as I plan keeping it for a couple of years. Usually bored of a motor after 6 months but can't wait for the upcoming drier months to do a few mods!

I thought I didn't use my car that much. 10,000miles! That's not a lot. Do you have use of another car?

Its my turn next to change cars as the other half has a 1 year old C1 which we bought January last year. She loves the car, although I would prefer something like an Ibiza for her.

I totally agree with you, people still look at my Cupra and even more when the BBS wheels are on. Less than a months time and I will put them back on.

Yes also looking forward to the dry months as I'm itching to put my 19" wheels back on as it really makes the cars appearance look a lot better. Standard wheel may got refurbed in Gloss Black for next winter.

I normally get itchy feet around this point. 25K miles and three years old soon. It's been rock solid the whole time and still is in top condition (don't want to jinx it though!)

I've been flirting with the idea of a new Megane RS 250 - the first time a car that isn't a SEAT has really appealed to me. It looks the business and is well kitted out. However I can't really afford a new car at the moment especially as the Cupra has been fully paid off for a year-and-a-half now which is nice. (plus Z keeps reminding me it's French)

I'll probably get a new fuel pump at some point soon and the roof will be going gloss black vinyl to match the wheels. I'll hang on to it until the MK3 comes out and I'm sure I'll be trying to find the cash for the new MK3 Cupra/R when it's unveiled. [B)]
