what are Mk2's worth these days

just wondering what the value is on a mk2 cupra. I see them going for as little as £500 -£800 these days.

depends! i just sold an 8v gti with140k on the clock and no mot for 600 quid, but then bought a 16v gti with116k miles wth mot/tax for 500 quid! and yet on pistonheads, there is not a single mk2 ibiza priced for less than 1300 quid!

exactly, there doesnt seem to be a set price, some people just want to get rid so they sell em cheap as chips were as others still feel there car holds some value.

I dont think I would want to sell mine for less than 1k

It doesn't matter so much what price you want to sell at, it really depends on what price people want to buy at.

Arguably I priced mine too low as I sold it within about 2 weeks through this site!

I paid £1000 for mine thats in need of a new bonnet its a 16v and had 86000 on clock. I reckon theese days ya lookin around £1300 to £1600 for a decent one

I would be happy to pay in the region of £1250-£1500 for a decent 16v with lowish miles.

ultimately seems to depend on demand, and location can affect the price too. part of the reason why the valver i mentioned before is cheap is becuase it's in the far reaches of cumbria! if you don't want to be upset then don't ask anybody in the car trade what they think it's worth (i.e "glasses guide" prices)
