What Audi/VW wheels will fit an Exeo ST

Dredging up an old thread but looking at a new/another set of exeo alloys (anyone with a set of 18" OEM let me know!).

If I change, I like some of the Leon MK2 styles. Would a 7.5J 18 inch 51ET (5x112, 57.1 bore) fit an Exeo ST (2.0T Sport) ok (original fitment is 8J ET42 I think)?

Next question - if I use 225/40/18 on original fitment, would I still use 225/40/18 on the 7.5J ET51s?

Any wheel fitment experts out there that could assist.

Also anyone with 18" OEM Exeo wheels, drop me a PM!

I'm actually toying with the idea of "down grading" my OEM 17" wheels (MY 2011, 10-spoke) for a set of 16" wheels to improve the ride comfort a little. Possible swap anyone?

Has anyone else fitted A5 alloys? Below is mine, the offset is wrong and they stick out a bit too much, which doesn't cause any issues unless you have a full car of people over speed bumps. However, I was considering lowering which may be a bad idea, would dropping the tyre size as others have suggested to 35 rather than 40 correct the problem?

I think A5 ET ratings are 33 or 28 (vs ET43 standard for an Exeo), so that is like adding 10mm or 15mm spacers. Given your fronts look like they are almost outside the line of the arch, I'm think they may have been ET28?

I think if you lower you might get quite a bit of rubbing. If you change the tyre size and lower the car I imagine the ride might get a bit firm, as well as your speedo will be out.

I thought better of this Mr Bigglesworth, Bought a really nice set of 19s from a Sirroco, much better fit. Lowering is happening over the next couple of week too!
