Could try a breakers...probably get them for half that price.

I tried this once before..found a breaker who still wanted £350 for em...found him on ebay it was a buy it now or best offer..they didnt sell in the end...after the auction finished we was able to see what offers people put to him...it started off at £200..250..300..last offer was 320 and he refused to sell....its a shame as these are very rare to find second hand...so il think il just bite the bullet and buy new

Went to see how my wheels where getting on at the bodyshop, he has done them a bit darker than I originally wanted but I think they look better anyway. He just needs to polish them up tomorrow and I'm collecting them friday morning! Then I can get the goodyear asymmetric 2's on and I am good to go :p
Managed to sell my current ones last week after only being on ebay for a day, so I am dropping them off on friday too.

Get the pictures up!!!

Would you say that the going rate then ?
He did seem pretty genuine tbh and he does it at a paint shop not on your drive so it would be a decent job i would have thought . I would rather pay £350 for a good job than £250 for a bodge job !!

Il try a few more repair firms and see what the crack is

Yeah paint jobs aren't cheap. I had quotes of £300 for one door panel and blending it into the other door and wing. Cheapest was £180 but he said he shouldn't need to blend it in.

One place said the paint itself would be £150!!

Picked up my Wheels early, they look the dogs. The best £60 I have spent in my life.

The new rubber arrived today too so I will be at the garage early tomorrow to get them fitted, I can't wait!

Just give them 3 coats of Blackfire all metal sealant ( which I regard the best sealant out there, even ahead of G techniq c5 ) and now they look even better and bead water like no tomorrow. The mother was fuming I used the table though

Sorry for the crap quality pics, the wheels look much better in the flesh but hey ho.

Looking good! Nice choice of tyre as well... :D

Is it a gunmetal finish (although looks a bit bronze on my phone)?

Thanks :p Yeah I noticed that too when I put them on the computer, its gunmetal but the lighting in my dining room is making it look funny on the pictures, don't worry I will get some better ones tomorrow once they are on :)

£60 sounds like a right bargain!

I re-fitted my rev G DV cars running loads better to when I had the D on and feels loads quicker!

Should look mint when they're fitted. Out of interest, have you weighed them as a comparison to your other wheels?

Yeah its new bodyshop opened opposite my work. He is trying to make a name for himself to start off with so he is doing full refurbs for £60 on any size wheels!! The finish is flawless to be fair. He had loads of sets in when I went to pick mine up and they all looked spot on, my car is going in next week to get the front splitter sprayed and a few other things :)

Red- Yes they weigh 10.1 kg which is remarkably light for reps, genuine are not much lighter. OEM 18" is 13.2kg (no tyre) so quite some weight saving considering it is unsprung mass. I have not weighed the goodyears but I would guess around 2-3kg each

Bodyshop is called Kustom Bodyworkx if anyone is interested, they have a facebook page.
