Dude that bubble is caused by the kerbing, you have kerbed the wheel.. therefore broken the paint.. water then gets into it
See I thought that originally but the bubble isn't right beside the kurb so I wasn't 100% sure, I don't mind it so much it's mostly the rusty hubs..

Parts of the chassis might be a bit rusty as well, best get them changed while you're there
Yeah lol!

They are some seriously kerbed rims!!!! Thought mine we're bad!!

Those are really the only marks on all of the alloys, I probably gave the worst pictures for kurb damage.. Want them Refurbed soon anyway, possibly go a little darker too.

Went to get my service book stamped (dealer I got it from forgot) soon as I gave the lassie (she was bloody tidy, as were the other fillies I saw in the service department - Arnold Clark Vauxhall in Linwood) she says that she'd ordered a spare key for the car as they thought they'd lost one. It was already paid for so I got it for nowt! I got two keys with the car, so if anyone's looking it's available. Non flip spare key, uncoded, make an offer. (do these keys need coding? If so, how's it done?)

Thats what I was thinkng too, new disc time or just paint them with silver hammerite

Yup, it's common on a lot of new motors. Painted them on last two Leons, got to do this one too. did the Passat recently (silver Hammerite) but managed to get it to bubble on way down from Sierra Nevada's ;)

If you get pulled over by VOSA, They will get there inspection mirror thing and look under the car.... they will see a CAT

Ive seen VOSA sat at JCT16 of M6 (Crewe) pulling wagons for checks and then also pulling modified cars, somebody i used to talk to got pulled over in his MK3 Ibiza, they used the mirror to check for a CAT and he didn't have one

I was pulled by VOSA a few years ago and they did an emissions check. They do it quite regularly round here. Puts me off a decat.

Why would anybody stop to let VOSA inspect their vehicle? They're not the police, you're not lawfully obliged to do so, would tell them to shove their mirror up their arse and look for money there as they wouldn't be getting any out of my pocket!

Police are usually with VOSA when these checks are carried out. Police do the stopping, VOSA do the checking.

Yeah that's how it works. They set up shop in a layby or carpark (B&Q seems to be a favourite) and the police pull people in for VOSA to check your car over. They do emissions checks too and check if diesel cars are being run on red.

VOSA do have the right to pull HGVs and buses/coaches with no police present. For those vehicles if you don't stop, it's failing to stop in the same way it would be with police.

I don't see what gives them the right to stop people at random, like bloody Nazi Germany, demanding your papers! If you've not broken the law there is no reason for you to be deterred from going about your own business. It's just a con to make more money out of you!
