Changed the hpfp cam follower...very straightforward, thankfully! The black coating had almost completely worn off but the face was still flat so hopefully changed it just in time, car has 79k miles.

Yeah I changed mine a while ago, but can't remember how many miles it's been since!

Bet you can't wait! nothing beats mapping day :D

Yeah looking forward to it! Excited to get it on the rollers too, see what it's actually making.

Will get plenty of pictures and videos.

Also been to Seat this morning to have them check the rust on the drivers wing. They basically refused to do anything because the car doesn't have full Seat service history which is a joke, even though the anti-corrosion warranty is 12 years.....

What relevance does the service history have on the corrosion warranty?! KNOBBERS!

I'd say that's worth a phonecall to Seat UK, or try another dealer, as I'm pretty sure that they cannot enforce dealer only servicing as a requirement for warranty work

God knows.....that's what I said to them and they gave me the lame excuse of the dealer would check over the bodywork when it was serviced haha.

Yeah I'm gonna call them later.

Been a bad day all round lol.

After Seat fobbing me off earlier, the car couldn't be mapped any further at BFT as the air intake temp sensor was throwing some irratic readings meaning the run we managed to do only showed 198.5bhp.

Ordering a new sensor with TPS this afternoon. Should sort my issues out and then be able to go back for tweeks.

I had both wings replaced in March 2016 due to corrosion at the sill spreading to the wing. 2006 FR with Seat history until 2014. I purchased it April 2015, serviced myself since with Genuine Parts. Dealer never looked at book, but they can get history from Seat if it has been serviced at a dealer. Repair is a new wing, not a repair, and the sill repaired when wing is off. Cost me a 50% contribution.

Being my pessimistic self I thought I would scan the car before ordering a new sensor. VCDS didnt show any faults with this sensor or any faults related to it and the readings it was giving were significantly lower than the ones BFT showed me.

I know they weren't scamming me as I watched them do everything.

Not sure what to do now....

Anyone know how hard these senors are to change?

Had to get a new washer jet and plastic cover for the rear wiper as a git at an auto car wash knocked the plastic cover off and then the wash snapped off the top of the washer jet leaving the bottom of the stalk snapped off flush.

Used a v small pointed screw and some pliers to get it out.
