It’s looks great against White @Deano j1971 car was what sold it to me. I think it’s going to enhance the front of my Desire Red Cupra and would look good on a Carbon too.

Oh and I’ve ordered some flyeye tints to have a go at the front fogs only. Just want to see if I can reduce the clear glass on the front. Will post pics when I’ve played around with it.
There is a desire Red FR with a matt black one. Still looks good.

Did you go matt or gloss?

I am really interested in the Reiger splitter on my 18 plate FR, post some photo's when you have it fitted please.

Hi @Carlosam, here are some photos of the rieger front splitter fitted to my St300 which has the same front as the fr.

I bought the parts from https://www.oemvwshop.com/ and they were painted gloss black afterwards in a car body shop.
Front bumper needs to be removed to replace the grilles.

Here are the part numbers if anyone with an FR is interested:

Left Fog light surround

Right Fog light surround
5F0853666J 9B9

Upper front grill

Cupra upper front grill frame

Lower front grill without ACC radar opening

Lower front grill with ACC radar opening

Was it a bumper off job because of the central grills, or would it require the bumper coming off even for the side grills (around the fogs) do you think?

Also is the bumper off job a nightmare?

Yeah, mainly because of the center grilles. I can't quite remember but I think the fog light surrounds can be removed from the front by pulling them out.

Removing the bumper was actually quite easy. All you need is a ratchet with a few different size Torx bits. I didn't even remove my front tires to take the bumper screws off from the wheel arches. Just turned them a bit.

Thanks for all the photos of the splitters chaps, I just need to convince the wife that we need one now.

Just say it's there to protect the paint at the front from chips so the car's worth more when you come to sell it or something

Definitely think the red is the best colour for the MK3 when shiny just out of curiosity how long does it take you to do a full clean of the outside?

It took me 2-3 hours today but it hasn’t had a wax or polish as that was done last time. Today was:

Snow foam
2 Bucket Wash
Wheel Wash
Exhaust Clean
Sonus Quick Detail Spritz

Inside needs a quick Hoover and polish and black outside trim could do with a quick going over as well. Other than that it’s looking ok. Love the colour in the Sun...it pops

Them wheels will look awesome with the gator rims on, plus they match the colour of the splitter as well.
