ive got a jabba induction kit off a mk4 golf. still need to trim the heat shield cos the bonnet doesnt close with it on but looks lovely and sounds good too, so im happy and paid a ton for it almost new and guy reckons it was £200+ when he bought it new.
I got one of these from the ram air web site in June for £78 delivered. It came with everything you need. However the cold air pipe isnt really long enough to stretch to front of car so do yourself a favor and nip off to halfords and geta longer one!
Having said all that it REALLY is worth the money. Havent been able to fault it at all. looks nice too!

Okay guys Ramair max flow is about £109 plus delivery on ebay and this includes all pipes and feeds i believe? But on the Ramair website it is free delivery and only 90 quid i think for the cupra one, does that include all the pipes and feeds as well?? If so that has to be worth it?
yeah it's meant to be worth it just for the noise alone

Bit of a thread from the past, but....
I've got a standard airbox (recently) smoothed and bmc panel filter feed by a 3in intake.
After doinga tb reset the car does seem to by a little more pokey down the bottom end, and with the window shut yopu can hear the dv now a little more.

the air air box on the lc & lcr are very very large so a panel filter by cottongreen or k&n will be just as good as ANY induction kit and the box can be moded to let it even more air and will not suffer from heat soak so dont waste your money unless u just want noise. If u want dv noise go 4 dynatwist or raid and if u want induction noise go 4 the k&n 57i BUT stear clear of the pipercross viper, i had one on my lc and it shagged a maf and i lost bhp a BIG waste of 250 quid.

i spoke to ppl ethat specialise in the VAG group they say they dont recomend an induction kit at all and stay clear of the filters with oil on them, the recommended if any induction kit go for one that takes the air feed away from the engine like a k+n typhoon can anyone comment on this?
I've tried out many different induction kits - recently I've swapped between a BMC CDA and a K&N cone filter tucked down the side of the battery with a 76mm pipe leading up to the MAF ... my car definately pulls harder with the K&N cone filter. I've been monitoring the intake temps too (using the Scangauge) and open or closed intakes are irrelevant, it's the intercooler that cools the charge air, not an enclosed filter. My intake temps remain the same using an open cone filter - whatever filter you use air always exits the turbo at 120+ degrees and is cooled by the intercooler before entering the engine.
After trying all sorts of things, I have to agree 110% with Rob. A big open cone does the business. Proven with logs.

My 8000 mile standard air filter cartridge outflows a new green cotton panel filter by about 5g/sec. It also outflows a dynatwist too. I'm going to try a large open filter next.
