maf is the mass air flow sensor, it sits between the tip and the airbox measuring the air flow and the ecu adjusts the engine fueling accordingly.

dynatwist or CAI are good and safe for the VAG cars and go forge as its a recirculating dump valve and the bailey one is an atmospheric which is no good on 1.8T'S

decided im goin with pipercross panel filter... possibly change my mind to green cotton, but panel filter it is.
definitly get a forge tip (cheers for that!!) and most likely modify the airbox when i get a 2nd one in case i make a hash of it (or jus get someone else to do it!!)

just ordered a brand new alu forge 700p dv (how does £70 sound??) so its lookin up!!

this way i think i am keepin things simple, but hopefully reap the rewards that the fairly minor changes will bring without going crazy and too loud.

    any suggestions??

Edit: IMPORTANT... btw is the forge 700p dv universal for the vag 1.8T or should i state its for a 225 lcr???

ok nice one smooth, i didnt think there would be much in it.

roughly how many miles would you expect to get out of one of these panel filters??
