What Gearbox?

I have a 1.8t 20vt FR on an 05 plate with the decel noise in all gears, where would I find the gearbox type to get the shim kit and cover?

The gearbox code is on the data sticker under the boot carpet and sometimes in the handbook too. You need a VW/seat dealer for the shim, so i'd give them a shout at hortons SEAT. http://www.seatpartsshop.co.uk/ They will be able to order it from your VIN number, and from experience they are very quick on ordering and delivery.

Taken the old shim out, but the kit I’ve got doesn’t include a split shim, just a cap and a ring??? Something missing?
