I don't get why he contacted me. Couple of video's on YouTube doesn't make me a street racer. And goes on like I got friend's.... Sh|t I got a cupra....I don't need friends, there just extra weight that's not needed lol.
For a laugh I should of said yes...and tuned up in a transit van haha.

******* bus has hit my car & scraped down the front driver's side, & dented in wheel arch. Bus actually admitted liability & witnesses but hoping my boy doesn't get written off :cry:
A bus?? Damn that's a solid claim right there for back pain/whip lash/loss of work ect ect ect. No bus company in there right mind would take it to court. 2/3k right there.
As for the car...two panels + paint for an over ten year old car, not looking good for the car, if they do, buy it back and invest the 2/3k fixing/making better.

Bus company called. Said they would take the car to a Seat garage (hope so) & repair it, covering costs. I am hoping they mean that, it wouldn't start just now, & that has never happened. They offered a performance courtesy car, but haven't spoken to that company yet. Fingers crossed!

Bus company called because they never want bad press. Do not take the first offer, this is you're first offer BTW so don't agree anything till you speak to a claim company near you, they will be so happy to speak to you mate. Demand a amount CASH compensation as all trust is now lost in the damaged car. You will be very surprised how much money they will throw at you to make you happy.

Thanks, I hate dealing with this kind of sh8. Have spoken to so many people this Avo, don't know who's who anymore :confused: My daughter was the worst hit. She broke down in floods of tears when my son told her the Cupra was going & might not come back. She's only 8 but she just loves her Seats, damn good at racing games too! ;)
Thanks again!
Glad she's OK, but you need to speak to a professional, better still a local guy to you. You won't need to worry about "no win no fee" as its a win but you need them to stat this to either yourself or insurance company in e-mail. Take you're time, don't agree to anything and don't let them take the car until you do.

Andrew, please don't encourage making fake claims for whiplash, or emotional distress, all that just puts everyone's premiums up as well as being both legally and morally wrong.

So long as the bus company sort the car, provide a courtesy car and are generally decent about it all, then leave it at that. Accidents happen, that's life, just deal with it and move on.

Sure it will get sored "Badboy03" and your car shall probably come back in better condition than it left with a fresh respray :)

Are you trying to tell me off or something lmao?!! Just don't go there buddy. My life is far to short to give a toss what you think.
Feel bad?? Report me, I don't mind.

Not at all. Just trying to highlight how your advice is poor. Trying to get something for nothing and generally con people isn't something to be proud of or encourage.

Think about what you say and try to make better choices in the future.

Just guidance to someone I feel needs it, that's all. :)

Wtf...no need to worry, my problem. I appreciate Andrew just being a Cupra mate, cheering me up when I am hacked off. Insurance companies shaft people everyday, not out to shaft but want my Cupra back.
You'd be surprised if you met me mate, apart from this I'm a nice guy, never knowingly ripped anyone of in my life.
If anyone thinks the bus company is going to contact them please put you're hand up!
Think about it...wtf was the bus driver doing?
Probably a setup by the driver for a passenger he "doesn't know" to do an Xmas claim, this happens around this time of year.
Probably why he admitted fault because...
I'm a so called professional driver of 20 year's and at all cost YOU NEVER ADMIT FAULT. Bus is covered by CCTV like I am and that tells the story so we professional driver are told to keep shut by the companies we work for (most if not all do this now)....seems fishy right from the start but we will never know about that because the bus company won't disclose this to an insurance company let alone the council there based in.

Sorry mate, wasn't digging at you, just responding to the previous.
There are scams everywhere. Even my dog got targeted by a vexed neighbour. Tried to claim he was attacked after kicking him twice. I got the police on him & RSPCA. Was a battle though. Cheers mate :)

No problem here mate.
Yeah I read a story in the paper a few weeks ago about two woman and a dog...ended up one woman paid out £215,000 after the woman fell over holding her dogs lead as she asked her to for a sec. £100,000 in the claim payout and £115,000 for court cost...now that's madness.

Few small jobs on the car completed today:

* New Headlight switch module fitted. (Front fogs had stopped working, this cured that issue)
* New Thermostat fitted. (Was running cool unless driven hard, this cured that issue)
* MK5 Golf Wiper Arms and Bosch Blades fitted - Much neater setup that sits much lower.
* Gear Box Shim fitted. (Eliminated whine in 3rd gear when coming down the box)

All little things that just keep the car in tip top condition.

Next up is a weekend in the bodyshop for lacquer peel issues to be corrected, so the following is being repainted:

* Bonnet (Also sorting minor stone chip marks)
* Bumper (Also sorting minor stone chip marks)
* Nearside Wing
* Offside door handles (Both quite bad, yet nearside are perfect, most odd)
* Petrol filler flap
* Rear bumper

Car is also having a full paint correction and deep wax applied at the same time. Will be like a new car next week.

While watching YouTube tonight I stumbled across this old video from IE. Now the confusing thing is to me is...why such a small cooler on a purpose built rig to hold a 1.8 engine.
