haha :) almost impossible when remapped...i can hear it at 1500rpm, cant really go lower as kill the clutch.

I did like my 110tdi...if I didnt want to spend 13k on the 150pd i would have kept it and modded it.

I seem to be getting over 50mpg if I dont drive hard. I can do 60 down lanes etc etc and still get 54mpg on the way to work.

If I use the motorway, and go above 60mph however, I loose the chance off 55mpg! More like 47-52mpg.

I would HONESTLY say over the past 60,000 miles of driving my car. I must have got around 38mpg.

I give it beans ok!

Mines just sticking to speed limits and not ragging it up to speed.
Getting a consistant 50mpg on the journey to work and thats on A+B roads, so if i take it steady on a motorway i'd expect to see even more.
Not bad when you remember it's remapped ;)

My Golf 1.9 TDI, 5-speed manual, originally 90 hp but now remapped with bigger nozzles (about 135 hp and 225+ pounds of torque), gets about 42 miles per US gallon in the winter and about 38 miles per US gallon in the summer (AC usage plus hot fuel causes retarded timing). So 40 mpg overall, or about 48 miles per Imperial gallon.

About 50-50 between urban and highway driving. If I spent more time on the highway, but drove slower than my normal 75-80 mph, my fuel mileage would improve. The best I ever saw was 52 miles per US gallon (63 miles per Imperial gallon) for two consecutive tanks on a long road trip. On one of those tanks I traveled just over 800 miles.

Got 380 Miles from my last full tank

Think I spent a month giving it a Italian tune or something...............

I didn't buy my 150PD to try do 8,000 Miles on a tank, I certainly didnt get it remapped to do even more than that.

I paid for my BHP so i'm gonna use it ;)

Leon 130 TDI... 49 Mpg in the trip and about 46-47 at the pump. I drive the car reasonably economically but have never managed to achieved the 52 Mpg, published average for my car even at 70-75 mph on a long run.

400 miles down and the fuel gauge is sat bang on the middle line!
bet the second half won't return 400 though

That is crazy!

I had done 250 miles bang on half full, just over a quarter left and i've done 340.

I am going to stick to 60 MPH all the way home and take it easy accelerating up to speed, see what i can do.

Best average i have had was 47.9 MPG, still only 460 miles to a full tank, and that was conservative as hell!
