What size spline for drive shafts??

I need to swap a driveshaft over,question is what size spline bolt do i need??

What car?

There are two sizes used depending on which engine.

But I think M8/M10

Most likely an M10. Although could be either M8/M10 or M12 dependent on vehicle.

You can buy multi piece bit sets with 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet bit holders, which include long and short triple square (spline), torx and hex bits for around £20.
Both Draper and Franklin are decent sets.
