What turbo for 400bhp street 1.8T?

The aim is 400bhp everyday car with quick spool. I have a friend running IHI VF34 which spools great, a little over 3000 rpm on his Golf 1.8T and makes 320bhp.
What figures can I expect with VF34+2.0l stroker?
I like the IHI spool but do I have to go with another turbo to reach safe and realiable 400bhp?

Suggestions are welcome.

Safe reliable 400bhp you really need a gt30 but that spools nothing like any IHI turbo. Better off going for high 300s and get a gt2871 as it will spool better.

What spool can I expect from GT3071 in a 4WD Leon?
IHI+2.0l stroker is it going to be close to 400...?

IHI VF34 will be all out of puff on a 2ltr.. but spool from mid 2krpm with decent pull.. Its hotside just wont support high flows tho

GT3071 on 0.6x hotside will on a 2ltr be pulling well from 3500rpm, and full on at 4krpm

depending on their spec.. more than a vf34
td05 big 16g is one i recall someone liking over and above the vf34

a good pal of mine had a td05 big 16g with supporting mods and had a very healthy 380ish bhp on tap.

the td05s tend to like boost aswell where as the ihi`s dont like much more than 1.5bar. i also have a good pal whos tested this theory... lol

i run a td05 16g on my 1.8t on Emerald management. it has hardly any lag but we struggled to get any more than about 330hp out of it.

im running a owens 400 on my ibiza and it made 399bhp and 402 turque but not on a strandard engine ive got large inlet manifold ported and polished head and forge bottem end alot of money in the engine and turbo but well worth it showed up a sl55 amg the other nite

Lately I am considering GT2868 hybrid.
I think it will fit the needs for good spool and near 400bhp, and may be a 2.0 stroker afterwards.

Have a Look at the TD05H-20G these are IHI Fitment..

CR Turbos are bringing out their own range of billet compressor wheels, just like the HTA GT2868 but at alot less cost. Should be a very promising range of upgrades to the 2860 and 2871 upwards turbos.

EFR6255 and EFR6258 look nice. They should be able to make 400bhp and they say they spool great, but I don't know any exact figures on 1.8T and any of these turbos.

I used to run a GT2871R and made 407bhp on a 20vt however this was maxed out and didnt last long. I have since had a full engine rebuild with a GT3071r and am making 475bhp. It pulls really well but can be laggy, you just have to change how you drive slightly. You get used to it and with the extra revs at top end it makes no difference to the car.

Project is starting the incoming weeks. It is decided, it will be GT3076R.
I have an exhaust question. As I want to be as quiet as possible I am thinking of Milltek resonated Audi S3 system (it should fit Leon AWD perfectly in my opinion) which is 70mm. What power would 70mm exhaust support and is it a good choice for the goal?
