Nope LOL, I lift from the sills and jack under the control arms. My jack has a thick rubber pad on top of it, but the years of garages and tyre places have pretty much flattened my sills anyway. It's on my list to panel beat back out.
Yeah, it's scary for sure. I did this thing where every time I jacked it, I added another notch onto the axle stands. It let me get used to it over a few months.
It's not saving me much. But at least I know the best oil has gone in. I've noticed a trend looking at cars that have been "serviced" that the cheapest parts, fluids and filters are used.
