Where to go for full geo/alignment check - UPDATE

Looking for somewhere to do a complete geo/alignment check.

IE Somewhere that measures toe, camber, etc - front & rear.

Any recommendations either in the Notts/Derbyshire area, or around Stockport, would be welcome.

Nottingham Alignment Services in Old Basford (they're in Yell) were the business when I had trouble with mine. Perhaps a bit far for you though.

They're a little bit "back street" but know their stuff.

I had three different places tell me that mine was "a bitch to set up", then NAS spotted that the suspension was actually bent. The bodyshop (Selbys) that sorted mine out has a really good reputation, and they said that NAS were the best in the area...

Not too far.

Can you remember how much they charge ?

EDIT: Is it this place: http://www.alignment-services.co.uk/ ?

That's them.

I swear it's was only £15, but I think that was just an alignment, not camber check.

Give them a ring, as long as you don't mind them calling you "duck" you'll be okay.

I wasn't sure if JBS did it

Hi Sarah

What kind of kit do you use for this - do I get a full printout ?
And does it measure rear wheel angles too ?

Thanks !

Hi
We have a lovely brand new piece of equipment to do this.
Cost a fortune but we did need a nice new one.
So yes we can do this now.

Hi
It does not give printouts no.
It will do the rear if the rear was adjustable , but on the 2wd it is fixed.
It is one of these new laser things.

OK Thanks Sarah.

Was really looking to get everything checked out, not just the front (even if the rear can't be adjusted if anything was wrong!).

Hi
this is fixed so it cannot be adjusted.
With the 4 wheel alignment we would check the rear axle to see if it is bent or out of position.
Before checking the set up of the front end.

Blimey your making me work for this ;)
Hey that is what I am here for.
This would be for a check for the camber , but adjustments for the tracking.
If adjustment was required an extra hours labour would be added. This would be £40.00 + VAT
Does this help?

Hello everyone... couldn't find a 'newbie' area here so by invitation from Muddyboots via email i thought i would just 'jump in!'

My field is car geometry and theoretical geometry set-ups for Domestic/Race/Road race (legal) Drift/ Drag.... but the area i enjoy the most is Domestic trauma, and this is the area i continue to serve.

On reading this thread i would seem the club has a wealth of information volunteered to resolve geometry issues, and i wounder if i can truly help and participate.

Concern regarding the distress of the general public lead me to build my own web site wheels-inmotion.co.uk through the site i measured areas that concern the public the most.. what is the problem?..who has let you down?. The offer of 'free consultancy' dispayes a scary future, 1000's of emails world wide, and 100's from the UK.

Seat to me directly is not a problematic car unless modified, then the 'theoretical' head looks up. If anyone here needs help in this area i volunteer it.

Note please to the Moderators
I make no monies through wheels-inmotion.
I am not a company, only a web address.
I am in full employ@ Stapletons tyres Watford (25yrs).
I earn nothing from any geometry set-up or adjustment at work or home.
