Hope you asked for extra chilli sauce.

Indeed, and this is a fact... 'extra chili sauce'. To explain, work/Home/ Dinner. Come 10.30... it's 'pudding time' Kebab '10 Minutes Nuke' and all the boys at work tomorrow can enjoy the essence ;)

Hi Sarah

What kind of kit do you use for this - do I get a full printout ?
And does it measure rear wheel angles too ?

Thanks !
An attempt to explain in full could encourage members to think i am '**** sure' and over confident, this is not the case, passionate to explain 'yes'....

Application of 'Thrust'
Early forms of drive consisted application from the rear. Axle alignment opened the term 'thrust angle'. Violation from the centre line owned the term 'Thrust angle deviation' from here a new area was born...

Modern day cars still have to respect this angle regardless of drive type, wonder why!

In actual fact the 'Thrust angle' is the most important reference for the car and the geometry, wonder why!

The rear wheels follow an inert position in straight line travel, assuming the rear Axel is correct in a longitudinal plane. This then would deliver a 0 thrust angle, that's good :D

Once established the (0 thrust position) the front toe and TOOT ( Toe out on turns) or Ackeman theory can develop...... yeah so what!. What most don't realize is the center position of the front correlates by degrees directly to the rear 0 thrust angle, turn the steering 5 degrees left then a 5 degree arc should realize at the exact 0 thrust position, if not then the steering will be in distress or violated with and 'under/ over steer' or an off-line steering wheel.

This example on one particular area is very shallow, i apologize for that. expand i can if requested, 'But' Please don't allow me to stand on someone else's foot! I am new here so an established resident expert within i don't want to intrude upon other than geometrical argument...that's good :D

Muddyboots... like i said to you 'Time is an issue' it may be wise to display our email conversation, many here could relate to the content.

In response to my original post:

I phoned up the Basford (Nottingham) site of http://www.alignment-services.co.uk/ who told me they do a full computerised alignment check of all 4 wheels for £35, including front toe adjustment. Additional adjustments to camber or castor (where adjustable) were £8 per side if needed.

Anyway, I went there on Saturday.
The chap seemed very friendly and helpful; they have a Hunter computer alignment kit which he took good care in mounting on the car before taking any measurements.

Everything seemed in order except the front toe which was out (well, in actually! but I expected this).
Got a before/after printout of all the geo settings too.

So if you're round the East Mids area then well worth checking out, especially for £35.
Fairly easy to get to from M1 J26.

(Sorry JBS, I feel like a traitor after all your replies earlier; but this place check everything I wanted, give a full before/after printout, and were cheaper :( )

Hi
I am glad that you have found somewhere that can help.
That is very cheap and it seems like the guy does this cheap because he loves the job not because he is not good at his job.
This is a good find well done.
Dont feel like a traitor just come to us with what we specialise in.
Yes we can do 4 wheel lazer alignment as this assist us with the suspension work that we do.
But we have some lovely turbos at the moment if you feel that guilty ;)

JBS Who are they?
Blimey :p
www.jbsautodesigns.co.uk
Have a look at out web site.
We are a performance tuning company.
We have a lovely Skoda Octavia at the momnet that has 440bhp with the Nitrous switched off.
We have managed to squeeze a 1.8T engine in to a lovely little Lupo and one of the same engines in to a Skoda Felicia Fun Pick Up.
The lovely bright yellow ones.
Our web site has just been updated to include some special turbo`s that we are doing at some special prices.
It also has some pics of the Fun in the conversions headding.
So that should answer the question.
Plus we are very friendly and love to help people out.

Of course you can , sure you could not manage to work without them.
No we are not uptight here we just have fun.
This to me I am sure you can understand is part of my job and I enjoy it.
The company is great to work for and we have done some fantastic work and I just like to let everyone know that.
I am sure that we could work together and that way we could benifit the people of this forum.
Not a leg person anyway ;)

Thank You...( legs back on) it's satisfying to read about a company like 'JBS'... my field is in constant argument with company's that destroy the honour of company's like yourselves.... as i read within this forum you are well respected, this we know cannot be bought but born..... with a world wide insight i say 'well done'

Anyway nuff 'sucking up' i would enjoy participating within your area, obviosly here i respect your work and position! and would only partner the topic.

WIM already has a 'live link' set up in the UK.... this link is 'in-house' geometry problem solutions designed to help the customer... as I'm sure we all know 'no one' is the absolute law within our field......

Anyhoo..... i do wish all a Happy Christmas..... mind the ice.....or see ya soon?
