Hey everyone,

I have just bought a leon cupra, i have been looking at the induction kits available. Obviously there is alot of them as the leon shares the MQB platform with the vw's and audis. Are many of you running induction kits? If so which did you go for and why?

I really like the look of the Eventuri kit and also the APR kit, both are at the higher end of the price range but look amazing.

Depends if you want noise or not. The R600 provides good performance but not really any increase in noise.

I've just bought a ramair one because I couldn't justify £350+ and the car is on standard mapping anyway, I just want the noise!

Ah yeah - I can vouch for the performance. Not so much the noise. Every now and then I get a glimpse of turbo whistle and air suction but nothing majorly different to before it was installed.

I've just fitted the forge kit to my 1.8 tsi and it's also excellent. Looks ace and gives a good sound as well. Good performance.

How do you rate the ramair kit? how much did you pay?

Racingline (Formerly Volkswagen Racing aka VWR) R600.

the filter has a bigger surface area than all them above, the only one that comes close to the intake area is the forge but the forge filter is smaller by surface area.

The Racingline one uses the whole of the front of the car, it replaces the OEM intake which is blocked on one side and fits an unblocked intake.

The owner of VWR spent a lot of ££££ on development so that it looked and felt OEM looking. Its one of the nicest products they have developed with regards to looking OEM.

here is my first setup VWR Cupintake

Also in this shot you can see the blocked intake on the right.

No it's just an intake,it will free up to around 10-15bhp but doesn't require any software.

Because it's enclosed for performance it's not that noisy.

Has anybody tried modifying the standard intake to open it up on both sides like the r600? Seen a few people do it on the golf. Wondering if it's worth a go as already got a ramair panel filter and intake pipe with racingline turbo inlet.
