Which bulbs can be updated to led or cree?

Would like brighter reversing lights, does anyone recommend any CREE or LED replacements that will not cause any error messages?

Also the internal boot light is dull, again any recommendations?

These reversing ones are excellent for brightness, 43 smb element, sold as Flashwolves in the UK, Mtech in Europe. I lifted that one off the Ateca German board and found that they were sold branded as Flashwolves in the UK.

If you have the current Xcellence then all internal are led, that leaves the reversing lights and fog. Fog are tricky to replace and you don't want to go around dazzling people.... I just stopped at the reversing lights. Non Xcellence possible that internal you can change to led if not already. Been variable reports of success on that one. Someone blew a fuse. Might be someone who has done it who can list off the bulb types. EBay it's a lucky dip if they are generic less.

Yes mine is the xcellence model.

Great will be ordering the reversing light LED,s.

They look good on the link to the rodium grey model which is the same as mine.

Boot light appears dull only compared to my other car Skoda superb which i put LED's in all 4 boot lights.

Think it is because they only have one boot light in the ateca boot on the left. Needs one on the tailgate top centre shining down.

That's my car modelling them :). The only thing to watch out for and probably only mine like it, was that the bulb lead they had trapped under the bracket. First loosen the nut, pull the lead out, then continue. The other side was fine. Its an easy job to swap them out.

I did fish out the boot light and had a look at it. Its led. They also fit these into the footwells as well. Probably the same unit that's lighting your feet. I googled the code on it. They cost about £15 each, sealed led unit.

Had these fitted to my previous skoda car.

    ebay.co.uk/itm/1x80w-1156-BA15S-382-BRIGHTEST-OSRAM-CREE-LED-WHITE-CANBUS-REVERSE-BRAKE-FOG-/152585889626?hash=item2386d3e75a:g:Ww4AAOSwDk5T94q8

Does anyone now if they will fit the Ateca as they are very white and bright.

Has anyone removed the fog lamp fitting yet to see what type of bulb is fitted?

Trying to find the fitting type before i order.

And can they coded for the fog lamps to become "come home" as per my skoda as they give a lower spread of light as the Ateca main led lights for come home are too high to light puddles in the dark.

On your first one off the reversing lights looking at the eBay bulb wrong fitting. The Ateca ones are push fitting. You get loads of light through the flash wolves and it's very white. Page 100 of the Nov 2016 manual.

Reverse light W16W... < so it's W16W fitting which is push.

The Flashwolves / Mtech ones I fitted taking the cue from the German Ateca board on what worked:

    http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=438101

Page 99 of the November 2016 Ateca manual covers the front fog lights.

The Erwin maintenance manual covers adjusting the range so you would have to be careful you didn't change that in removing the assembly. The German Ateca board had details of people changing the bulbs but I don't think anyone in the UK has ventured that far. Will look for the link and post up.

Probably more searching on the come home function of Obdeleven is required.

    Edit.

German thread for the reversing lights where Bernard et al came down in preference too the ones we call Flashwolves

    https://www.ateca-forum.de/index.php/Thread/2311-LED-Rückfahrlicht/?pageNo=5

So I took my cue from them.

On front fog they have a thread. Bernard again H8 light

    www.ateca-forum.de/index.php/Thread/1781-Nebelscheinwerfer-Leuchtmittel/?pageNo=5

He had canbus errors thou and fixed with a resister... I guess with the 2018 spec more people will want to mod their front fogs.

Will put on background tasks looking for going home as fogs...

On the last, have a look at this thread for the Golf Mk7 you might find this in the Obdeleven Ateca settings or something similar

    http://obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/734/coming-home-lights

Although to me these settings don't jump out at me on the Obdeleven screen for the Ateca although they could be hidden away.

I see there is a new contender now picked up by the Spanish Ateca board. A 21 smb rear indicator.

    Amazon uk

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/VANSSI-BAU15S-Amber-Indicator-Light/dp/B072ZSJDBP?tag=mokownclu-21

But available on Aliexpress... (10 day wait to the UK)

I see the 45 element Mtech / Flashwolves reversing lights are also available on the Aliexpress site direct from China - put the link in on the thread.

On the fitment of the rear indicator this YouTube video is alot clearer than the manual that has you take the connector off before removing the light assembly which is fiddly. You take out the assembly then take the connector off.

    Fitted - see
